Cecil Evans is a fictional character who is referenced, but does not appear, in Death Proof (see Grind House). He is directing the film on which the girls in the second half of Death Proof are working. Abernathy has a "set crush" on him. He made Abernathy a mix tape and has gone on movie dates with her (and given her a foot massage); he also slept with Daryl Hannah's stand-in on Abernathy's birthday. Abernathy maintains that he does not have serious relationships and calls him a "stand-in fucker".
